Introduction
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is widely considered as the key enabling technology for business innovations and capability development in many industries including retail, hospitality, automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, aerospace, transportation and logistics.

This 6th annual user conference and technology exhibition is a sharing session for end users and solution providers to share their experiences, best practices and latest development. National RFID Centre will be sharing the interim outcome RFID Innovation Platform and ways in which end user enterprises can tap on this scheme to develop first of its kind enterprise innovations with the use of RFID.

Leading RFID technology providers will be present to unveil their latest RFID solutions. Live demonstrations will be available to showcase the latest innovations from the technology partners. Vendors interested in exhibiting could contact the National RFID Centre to secure an exhibition space.

About the Speakers

Dr John GanOon Peen is the Group Manager of the Manufacturing Execution and Control group at SIMTech. His research interests encompass intelligent control for discrete systems, stochastic optimisation, discrete events system modelling, data mining and industrial control. He has also completed several RFID feasibility studies, including RFID for Air Cargo Tracking. He also serves as a technical lead of the National RFID Centre. Prior to joining SIMTech, he was a member of the research team at the Centre for Process System Engineering, Imperial College London.

Mr Goh Sia Hwa is the Planning & Logistics Manager at International Engine Component Overhaul (IECO).He has more than 22 years of working experience in aviation industry from hangar to workshop environment. Lead and drive production planning, material management, logistics activities, inventory control, purchasing activities, manage sub-contract activities and operations improvement activities to ensure timely delivery to meet all customer requirements. He

Mr Lye Wei Moon is currently championing the business excellence function at Goodpack Limited. As a General Manager, he has completed the business process reengineering on RFID/GEMS (Goodpack Equipment Management System) for higher efficiency and reliability. Mr Lye has more than 23 years of hands-on managerial experience with MNCs like Xerox, Flextronics and Lite-On Technology.  He held influential global and Asia Pacific leadership positions in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and Singapore; ranging from corporate planning, operations, supply chain management with P&L ownership.

Mr Krishnamoorthy is a Safety Supervisor (Development) in Apline. He oversees the Induction of New employee.  He is also an Assistant Manager in all aspects of safety development which include Safe Smart program. He has been working in Alpine for about 5 years.

Mr Daniel Marc Chow is a Director of Evtec Management Services Pte Ltd. He holds a BSc in Economics from Singapore Management University. He has 5 years experience in the Private Security Industry

Dr Ho Ee Lock is the Director for Technology and Business Development, Smartag Solution Berhad. He holds a PhD in Computer Network and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (Hons) majoring in Computer from Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. Ho has been awarded “Dean’s List Awards” four times consecutively and eventually a recipient of “Book Award” in March 2002 from MMU. He is an active member of ISO committee TC104/SC4 and appointed technical expert delegate of Department of Standards Malaysia (DSM) as Malaysian representative to International Standardisation meetings. Dr Ho also sits as committee member of GS1 EPCglobal Transport & Logistics Group and plays an significant role in contributing to the working group. Currently, he is leading the technical strategies in developing and implementing new solutions using state of the art RFID technology.

Mr Toh Eng Keong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (1st Class Honors) from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology. He started his career & spent about 10 year in the electronics manufacturing industry before moving into ICT, where he specialises in AIDC/RFID Technology & Solutions. Over the past 10 over years in the ICT industry, he has  actively involved in the implementation of numerous RFID projects using Passive & Active RFID utilising technologies from LF, HF, VHF & UHF.
