Vinova is seeking an experienced General Accountant to join our finance team.
As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions of the company. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including maintaining general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to manage and follow up on service contracts.
- Monitor contract milestones, payments, and compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation of all contracts and associated financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Assist in the analysis of financial data to support decision-making.
- Monitor and maintain accounts receivable records.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely collection of payments..
- Manage payment processing for purchases and expenses.
- Verify and record vendor invoices and coordinate payment schedules.
- Prepare and file various tax reports, including income tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
- Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with the budget.
- Make recommendations for budget adjustments as necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a General Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Quickbooks or Xero is a big plus.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to international accounting practices, with a preference for experience in accounting for Singaporean companies.
- Familiarity with Vietnamese and international accounting standards and relevant regulations, including tax and social insurance compliance.
- Proficiency in preparing financial reports, tax reports, and management reports.
- Strong organizational skills, a strong work ethic, honesty, and the ability to work well under pressure.
